Dispensary

Our well stocked dispensary is situated behind the two consulting rooms. It is a legal requirement that all drugs dispensed have a label on them. We ask clients to ensure they see a label and if there appears not to be one to request a label be issued by a nurse.

Many expensive or low volume drugs may not be stocked for “out of date” reasons so we will order them specifically for a client.

Our deliveries are on a Tuesday and Friday so we would ask clients who regularly have food or drugs that are low volume to order them on a Monday or Thursday for next day delivery.

Most drugs dispensed are POM (prescription only medicines) and as such come under dispensing regulations. This requires the patient to have been examined in the recent past.

This time frame will depend on the condition, the drug and the patient history.

It is in the patients interest that these regulations are in place and we would ask clients to understand that there is no financial, but a purely legal motive for applying this rule.
