Pet Grooming@ Anrich
Grooming is an important part of preventative health care routines for many pets.
Our new grooming service complements the main part of the hospital service.
All dogs and cats require to have their coats groomed to keep them in good condition. Long coats often require a lot of work. Our recommendation is, that unless you are showing your pet, you keep its coat short. In some skin diseases the coat should be kept very short.
In addition to keeping the pet looking nice, we also clinically check every pet for ears, skin, anal glands, teeth and nails. Every pet is sprayed with Frontline before we send them home, thus ensuring they do not leave with fleas. A nurse and, if necessary, a vet will examine each pet before they leave and any problems will be discussed with you by the vet on discharge. Finally we will take a photograph of your pet before and after grooming so that we may be sure to always groom to you specification.

Pet Grooming at Anrich is about much more than keeping your pet looking pretty. Our Head Groomer, Sarah, is trained to City and Guilds standard, the highest qualification available in pet grooming. Every pet we see undergoes a thorough clinical check to look for any signs of problems with ears, skin, anal glands, teeth and nails.
In addition, every pet is sprayed with Frontline flea treatment before we send them home. Having a Pet Grooming service available along side a Veterinary Hospital, is a great benefit for all our customers. If our groomers notice any potential health problems, or are simply unsure, help is always on hand. Qualified Veterinary Nurses, or if necessary a Veterinary Surgeon, are always available to give the groomer a second opinion.
Another benefit to our grooming customers is they don’t need to make another trip to the Vets to keep boosters, worming tablets and flea treatments up-to-date, as all this can be done at the grooming appointment.
Due to our high standards, and City and Guilds trained staff, Anrich is now a training centre for dog grooming. Training courses are run regularly throughout the year. Contact the surgery for more information.
