Reception & Waiting Area

On taking the surgery over from Charles Cook in January 2007, it was obvious that the first major problem in the practice was that the reception  and waiting room were too small. The reception could not take any nurses seated.

At Anrich, it is important that when a client enters the surgery they are greeted with a smiling, knowledgeable nurse and not an empty waiting room.

With this in mind I increased the size of reception to take the two nurses.

However, the negative effect was to reduce further the waiting area for clients and their pets.

This required thinking a “little outside the box” and as a result, Victor ( the Spanish vet) came up with the idea that behind the scenes there was a lot of wasted space.

To this end we knocked down a wall and moved the reception to the back of the increased area, which provided a lot more open and welcoming area for clients to come in to.

The new suspended ceiling has increased the lighting, whilst reducing noise echo.

The new seats have made it much more comfortable for clients and has increased the number of  people and pets the reception area will hold.

The additional shelving has increased the amount of goods we can display and stock, thus improving the ability to produce the “one stop shop” service to our clients.

Remember, all the products you can buy at any pet shop are also available at Anrich, but at Anrich they are sold with qualified veterinary advice, free of charge.

We have introduced Onstream to our waiting area which will continually update and inform clients of produces and services available from Anrich.

Virtual On-Line Shop

In 2008 the online shop linked to our 2000 sq ft shop in Wigan will be installed in the reception area. Clients will have a screen in the reception to view the shop and website directly and staff will be available to show clients how to use this for their home use.
