INTRODUCTION TO CONSULTATIONS
We offer veterinary consultations at both our Wigan Hospital and Pemberton Branch by appointment only. Our consulting rooms are modern, spacious and our highly qualified veterinary surgeons offer expert advice, covering all of your pets needs.
We offer lenghty consultation times so that our veterinary surgeons are able to give thorough examinations and are able to answer all questions you may have.
Consultations are available Monday-Saturday, for more advice or to book call the practice on 01942 242001 where our reception team will be happy to help.
VACCINATIONS
Vaccinations are very important in order to protect your pet from potentially fatal diseases.Your pet is likely to come into contact with some form of infectious disease as they explore the world and this is why we recommend vaccinating young puppies and kittens and also keeping your pet up to date with annual boosters.
Puppies – Should be vaccinated first at 8 weeks of age and a second vaccination given at 10 weeks.
Kittens – Should be vaccinated first at 9 weeks of age and a second vaccination given at 12 weeks.
Rabbits – Should be vaccinated from as early as 6 weeks of age against Myxomatosis and 10 weeks of age against Viral Haemorrhagic Disease.
Booster vaccinations are then required every 12 months for all patients.
ADDITIONAL VACCINCE INFORMATION & PET PASSPORTS
Other vaccinations such as the kennel cough vaccination is often required by boarding/kennels for the protection of pets in kennels. We offer this service here at Anrich.
If you are travelling abroad with your pet you will need a pet passport. In addition to the advised vaccines for this country, an additional rabies vaccination is required.

NURSE CLINICS
New to 2018 we at Anrich are introducing nurse clinics with our resident veterinary nurse Catherine Worwood. We offer a wide range of nurse clinics from nail clips to geriatric patient clinics. A small range of our clinics include; flea and worm checks, blood pressure checks, neutering pre and post op checks, puppy and kitten advice, dental checks, nutrition and behavioural advice.

CAT FRIENDLY CLINICS
We understand the stress of bringing your cat to the vet, so alongside our separate cat/dog waiting area we also offer a cat-only run clinic.
The clinic is run by our ISFM cat friendly advocates veterinary surgeon Chavdar Chernev and registered veterinary nurse Suzanne Doyle. We use artifical pheramones Feliway in our consultation rooms and feline trained staff all designed to reduce stress in our feline friends.
This is of no extra cost. Book through our reception team.
HOME VISITS
Sometimes it may be difficult to get down to see us or maybe your pet gets very stressed when bringing them to the vets. We do offer a home visit service which is available to you everyday. We do also offer a home visit euthanasia service to make that very upsetting time easier to deal with. Please contact us for more details and a quote for us to do a home visit.
House calls are not really suitable for emergencies and we also would encourage you to arrange transport of a sick animal to our clinic where we have the very best facilities to bring them back to health as quickly as possible.
